Reef Calcium is concentrated (50,000 mg/L) bio-available polygluconate complexed calcium intended to maintain calcium in the reef aquarium without altering ph.
Polygluconate coplexation confers several benefits: It increases the bioavailability of calcium, it provides a rich source of metabolic energy to help maintain peak coral growth, and it prevents calcium precipitation/alkalinity depletion. Polygluconate contains no nitrogen or phosphates, thus it is biologically impossible to lead to algae growth in a properly maintained reef system.

Safely Raises PH to 8.3

*Marine Buffer will safely raise Marine (or African Cichlid) pH to 8.3. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Marin Buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, commonly sold as a substitute. Such products can raise pH to dangerous levels if not used properly. Marine Buffer contains sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, and borate. Use a pH and KH test kit to check pH and alkalinity.

This product can be safely used for raising kH (& pH) in freshwater as well and is preferable and safer to baking soda, especially in community aquariums where baking soda can change pH too quickly

ALKALINE BUFFER (10.6 oz.) - $6.99

Alkaline Buffer™ is a non-phosphate buffer to raise pH and alkalinity (KH) in planted aquariums. Alkaline Buffer raises pH and buffers between 7.2 and 8.5. It is gentle, safe, and enhances the freshwater environment. I recommend this buffer when keeping aquatic plants, although this buffer does not have the other elements provided that Marine buffer has and therefore KH needs to be checked more regularly (as you would with even less stable Baking Soda)

* Metronidazole is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirus). It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. There is little danger of overdosing. Usual dose is 125 mg/40L (10 US gallons).

Prime is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Prime removes chlorine and chloramines. Prime converts ammonia into a safe non toxic form that is readily removed by the tanks bio filter. Prime can be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Prime detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the bio filter to more efficiently remove them.
