*AAP Malawi Buffer is a blend of carbonate salts designed to enhance the natural environment of cichlids (or other fish such as livebearers that require similar water parameters) by increasing carbonate hardness, buffer capacity, and pH.
The use/results/formula are similar to SeaChem Gold Buffer.
Excellent for use with ALL community freshwater fish, especially livebearers and goldfish. Dosing is generally lower for community aquariums; simply use just enough to maintain the desired KH
Buffers are generally best tested via KH, not pH, otherwise using buffers for exact pH maintenance can result in dangerous pH chasing.
