Unique patented Bio Balls nearly double surface area and provide more surface area than traditional filter elements such as often ineffective bio wheels. Three additional parallel waterways for controlling the cycling water re-circulating smoothly upward through all the bio-balls.

• Powerful Mechanical and Chemical Filtration;
User friendly replaceable filter cartridges contain quality graded filter media and research-grade activated carbon. The internal structure evenly distributes carbon throughout the cartridge for the most effective mechanical and chemical filtration, trapping particles, debris, and purifying water.

• Patented Exercise Bio-Balls;
The Hi-Q Patented Bio Balls prevents any and all accumulation of organic debris while offering a large effective surface area for the optimal colonization of nitrifying bacteria.

• Water Recirculation;
Water recirculation is extremely important in preventing bio mass from accumulating at the filter bottom. The filter creates a tidal flow the aquarium by cycling water from the aquarium into the filter chamber.
